An eventful week

The past week has been very eventful in the Anstedt household!

The biggest news would be that Collin has become quite adept at climbing the stairs. Oh course the stairs have a gate. Previously we could close the gate without applying the tension lock. Not anymore, our smart little boy was able to figure out how to pull the gate open and make his escape from the basement!!!

The weekend before the July 4th Holiday afforded us the pleasure of seeing the Shultz/Shrank/Zynda/Yeskie clans in Rapids. We celebrated Cousin Aleena's graduation as well as the pending arrival of Cousin Brad's and his girlfriend Jolene's son Reiley. (Yup these parents are on the ball - they already have a name picked out.) Everyone had a great time. We were fortunate enough to see Aunt Veronica's new house. Her cat Artie was gracious enough to let Collin pull on his fur without one single complaint! (What a good kitty) Collin was able to enjoy a moring swim with Papa at the hotel while Grandma and Grandpa took pictures.

On July 4th Collin played with his friend Isaiah. We met Isaiah and his parents Ashley and Michael for a nice long brunch at one of our favorite restaurants "The Bad Waitress." Then we all went to the wading pool. Collin really likes to hold onto his inner tube and "swim" from Papa to Mama!

Collin is having a great summer. He loves to play outside and go on the swings at the park. He has also benn to the pool with his friend Maisie.
