So Collin has been a busy boy over the past several weeks. He has made not only his first plane trip but his first trip out of the country. He met his French family. He took another car trip to Wisconsin where he met more of the Anstedt clan. Additionally, he had his first official sleepover with his cousin April.
In the middle of June we went to Montreal. Collin was a fantastic traveller. He flew like a trooper, complaining less than his adult passengers! Of course everyone thought he was just as good as can be. He didn't cry and take off and landing didn't bother him one bit! We spent almost a week in Canada where he enjoyed time in the city and the country. Collin wasn't even phased by our 5 hour delay in Detroit where we experienced mechanical difficulties. I personally think that his cute smiles, and excellent disposition helped to quell the frustrations/anger of fellow passengaers! (Pitcures to follow)
The weekend after he returned, April slept over. She is such a great older cousin. She was so helpful! She loves to make Collin laugh! She helped feed him and get hime ready for bed. April read Collin three stories for bedtime. She even did great little voices when reading him his Elmo book.
Finally we drove to Wisconsin for the 4th of July holiday. On Saturday he met his Great Grandma Annie along with some Great Great Aunts and Uncles and cousins galore. He slept through the majority of HUGE fireworks his Papa set off until the rain came in.
Collin is now gettign ready for his heel cord surgery next week. It's a simple enough procedure and he will be in and out of the hospital in one day. He will have to have a cast on his left foot for about 6 weeks. At his pre op appointment we found out he gained about a pound and a half in the past month! He is in the 95th percentile for length, 35th percentile for weight. He is so long we will now be getting new car seats this weekend!!
